Yoga and Breath work
Nadi Shodhana: 
 Also known as alternate nostril breathing. There are so many benefits to doing this type of breath work. In Sanskrit nadi means channel or flow and shodhana means purification. So the main goal of this type of breath is to clear and clean our channels from body and mind, while balancing our right and left hemispheres of our body. There are numerous benefits including reducing stress, anxiety, and calms your nervous system.

Break Down of the Sun Salutations:
Ever been too scared to go to a yoga studio because you don't know the poses? Well starting with the Sun Salutations, and knowing when to inhale and exhale can create a great sense of confidence. I remember my first time going to the studio, the instructor told us to match our breath with movement. I had no clue what that meant, and my ego was strong- so I just kept trying to keep up with the poses she was calling. It took almost 10 months for me to match my breath and movement- and when I did, it was when the magic happened. I feel like once you can match in the sun salutations you can carry it through the rest of your practice.


Crow Pose:
Ever wanted to try to fly but wasn't quite sure how?
Here I break down this pose into step by step- stages that you can stop and practice at until you feel strong enough to fly!



Side Crow:
This one really get into those side obliques! Best way is to warm up with some chair twists and crescent twists. I did a full workout before this video. Just like crow, there are different stages that you can stop and work on until you feel strength to move onto the next step. Enjoy and happy flying!

Warm Up as it Cools Off!


As the seasons change and the temperature drops, we tend to want to hibernate and stop moving. Really, we should be doing the opposite! Your need to get moving to warm up!



Mindful Flow


Focusing more on muscle engagement and finding our edge in each pose. Using a mantra through out the class to help quiet the mind- and help bring us back to breath if we find the mind wandering.



Anything Goes

So I said this in the beginning because I didn't know where the flow was going to go, but then the phone over heated and stopped videoing. So truly go with the flow because this class is broken into 2 videos. This is the true meaning of yoga, it's not just the asanas, but how we react to the world around us.

Let's face it- sometimes we don't have a full hour to dedicate to a yoga practice. Does that mean you just skip it? No, how about a shorter class. This flow is intended to still get your heart rate up and body warm, with nice cool down at the end!
